We had the good fortune of connecting with Isabel Ermoli and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Isabel, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind our brand is the support of my whole family, friends and our beloved customers. My parents are the pillar of the brand, my dad with his Italian love for food, since I was a little girl, I have seen him how he glows every time he enters a kitchen and starts preparing delicious plates, he is my mentor. My mom, with her constant positive attitude, she is the best cheerleader you can ask for. My kids are my “marketing ambassadors”, every person they meet right away they start promoting Pizzicotti by Tartis, they are my motor that keeps me going. And of course, my husband, my go-to person, the one that always has a solution for every problem we have encounter in our path. Also, our friends always giving feedback and supporting us along the way and our customers who trust us with our cookies and keep coming for more and spreading the word among their circles. The love and support from all of them has definitely made possible to create Pizzicotti by Tartis.
What should our readers know about your business?
Pizzicotti by Tartis is not just a business that offers gluten-free and lactose-free sweet almond cookies, it is a family affair rooted in the love for creating memorable experiences through food. What sets Pizzicotti by Tartis apart from others is our commitment to providing delicious, high-quality cookies that accommodate dietary restrictions without compromising on flavor, quality, or freshness. We identified a gap in the market for such a product and was passionate about filling it.
The success of Pizzicotti by Tartis can be attributed to the strong support system of my whole family, friends, and loyal customers. Starting a business is never easy, and it is clear that Pizzicotti by Tartis has faced its fair share of challenges. However, through perseverance and the support of my loved ones, I have been able to overcome them. One of the lessons learned from this experience is the importance of having a strong support system and believing in your vision.
What makes Pizzicotti by Tartis unique is not only our commitment to quality and taste but also our commitment to making people’s lives sweeter, even those with dietary restrictions. We want the world to know that we are a family business built on passion and love, and our unique and delicious cookies are a reflection of that.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
South Florida is best known for its beaches and places to relax and have fun, while enjoying delicious food and cocktails from different parts of the world.
I will definitely recommend to take a walk down Ocean Drive and admire the art deco architecture of the area, or walk around the Wynwood Walls, a colorful outdoor gallery featuring street art and murals from around the world. In both places, you will find stunning and exquisite restaurant. Another great place to visit is the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, a stunning Italian-style villa with beautiful gardens overlooking Biscayne Bay.
You can also go to the Pérez Art Museum Miami, a contemporary art museum overlooking Biscayne Bay. If you are coming with your kids, the Frost Science Museum (right next to the Pérez Art Museum) is an excellent choice as well.
If you are near Ft Lauderdale, take a water taxi tour of the Fort Lauderdale canals, known as the “Venice of America” and spend the afternoon at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, a beautiful white sand beach with clear blue water.
If you want to add some adventure to your trip, I recommend a day trip to the Everglades National Park, where you can go on an airboat tour, see alligators and other wildlife, and learn about the unique ecosystem of the area.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my parents, sons, and husband. They have been my biggest supporters and have always encouraged me to pursue my passions and dreams. Their unwavering love and guidance have been instrumental in shaping who I am today. I am grateful for their constant support and motivation, and I wouldn’t be where I am without them.
